First scratched in black and white, I decided to add color to really make it pop. The mushrooms are colored via opaque acrylic paint layered on the scratchboard. A sheer blue glow from the mushrooms are seen on low-hanging branches.

After all this, I find out that there really ARE glow-in-the-dark mushrooms. Yup. Mycena family of mushrooms. Seven species of them. But none of them have jellyfish tentacles. Go figure...
